Arjun Kapoor – Star With the Kind Heart

It’s been a while since I’ve been thinking about blogging about my favorite Idol since there are too many great things  which I can write about him.. But today is special ..!! Arjun is completing 4 Years in Bollywood…:) and he has achieved so much in last 4 years as an Actor in the film industry by doing 7 different films. Each one was different from other and in all of them his acting skills really stand out..!!!

It’s been an amazing journey in Bollywood for sure by giving movies like Ishaqzaade, Aurangazeeb, Gunday, 2 States, Finding Fanny, Tevar & Ki and Ka … Hope he will continue doing many more movies and keep adding feathers to his hat..

I really admire his acting skills, and am very much  impressed about his unique personality… but what constantly connected me to him is his kindness , which I am sure he has imbibed from his Mom. In these 4 years he has supported several good causes and has taken part in many humanitarian activities for which I respect him to the core… !!

So today my blog would be focusing on that aspect of his life in these 4 years where the world has know him as a person with kind heart as well…

♥ Greenathon  4 2012 

Arjun Kapoor supported the Greenathon  move by NDTV .

The NDTV-Toyota Green Campaign was the first ever-nationwide campaign to save the environment.For its fourth year, Greenathon’s focus has been recycling waste, especially plastic, along with encouraging everyone to keep their immediate environment clean. Arjun Kapoor was among those who generously supported this Green Initiative with his time and donations.

♥  Campaign against child cancer .

Arjun Kapoor inaugurated campaign against child cancer by Tata Memorial Hospital in 2012. He took out time to meet child cancer patients at the Hospital. He also interacted with the children, made them laugh and also danced with all of them.

Arjun also shared his experience and supported the Cancerthon organised by NDTV and Fortis in 2015 .Main objective of 8 hour long Cancerthon was to build awareness about cancer and to raise funds for children battling the disease.

♥  Campaign for P&G Shiksha 2014

Arjun Kapoor has lent his support to an initiative to provide education for underprivileged children. Speaking about his involvement with the organisation, Arjun said: “Education is very important and the more we educate a child, the more it will reflect better in our country for future. Good education will have a long-term impact on the country. ”

♥  National Ambassador for Earth Hour 2014 & 2015 🙂

Arjun Kapoor had joined hands with WWF-India to pledge his support to the Earth Hour – WWF’s global campaign to raise awareness and inspire individual action on climate change. Arjun pledged his support towards the Campaign twice in 2014 & 2015..!!    Earth Hour is the largest environmental campaign in history and enables individuals, organizations, governments and groups to show their support towards policies and practices that create a balance between development and environmental concerns.

Arjun also supported the Sahasra Jyoti project of WWF-India, an initiative launched aimed at bringing sustainable development to the Sundarbans landscape in India. Arjun believes that while he does not consider himself as torch bearer for change ,but he believes he can influence youth and initiate change .Proud of him to support Earth Hour.

♥ WWF’s Wild Wisdom Quiz 2015 for Children

The Discovery Kids and WWF-India’s Wild Wisdom Quiz 2015 culminated on high note with Quiz Master Arjun Kapoor .The Wild Wisdom Quiz is an initiative of WWF- India and is Asia’s largest and India’s only wildlife quiz at the national level. Arjun said , “It is amazing to witness the knowledge that these students have about our biodiversity. Some of the greatest scientists and conservationists of India started on their conservation journeys with WWF as Volunteers or Nature Club members. We need kids like these to be agents of change and help bring about a future where humans live in harmony with nature.”

♥  Global Citizen Festival 2015

Global Goals champion Arjun Kapoor was the Indian ambassador at this year’s Global Citizen Festival in New York City.

The annual Global Citizen Festival, organized by the Global Poverty Project. Being Indian Ambassador, Arjun reportedly highlighted India’s role in the global goals for sustainable development. The festival kick started the Global Goals campaign which aimed to reach around 7 billion people in a week following the agreement of the new Global Goals for Sustainable Development. Arjun shared the frame with Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousufzai at the Global Citizen Festival.

Arjun’s advocacy as the ambassador of WWF India , his impact with youth and his popularity made him a natural choice for the Global Citizen Festival and Global Goals campaign. The multifaceted actor provided remarks at the event to showcase the progress India has made over recent decades, as well as highlighted the challenges that remain, including India’s sanitation challenge.

♥  Slum Soccer 2015

Arjun Kapoor showed his care and support for the 18 players of Team India of the Slum Soccer league before they left to participate in the ‘Homeless World Cup’ which took place in Amsterdam.

The Slum Soccer team represented India in a global tournament titled the Homeless World Cup. Arjun Kapoor headed to spend some time interacting with 18 talented children who live in slums but are united by their love for football. The actor who is often spotted playing a game of soccer, encouraged kids  and had a great time spending time and posing for pictures.
